Interesting Fact: I'm a pastor's kid
As a student athlete that is focused on living out your faith on and off the field, what’s the biggest thing you’ve learned about yourself?
Probably the biggest thing that I’ve learned is that I really enjoy leading and encouraging the younger guys and ministering to them. Also to make sure that I’m always leading in a positive way, that I always show Christ in my actions.
As a high school student athlete, is it difficult to stay focused on your relationship with Jesus Christ?
It can be difficult. There are many distractions. It is something that you purposely have strive for every day.
What are some things you do every day to make sure you stay focused on your relationship with Christ?
The biggest thing for me is to surround myself with other Godly guys my age that can push me and correct me. This is definitely not something I could do on my own. I also try to dig very deep into the Bible.
What is your involvement with FCA, and how has FCA helped you stay focused on your relationship with Christ.
I have been able to lead some devotions on my baseball team. And it’s another way God can speak to me.
It’s the last play of a game and the game is on the line. You huddle up your teammates to motivate them. What do you say?
Relax, be confident in yourself, be aggressive, get out there and give everything you have. Leave nothing on the field!
What are your plans after you graduate?
To join the military reserves while going to college to earn a degree in Math and Political Science. Then go active duty in the military and see where God leads me.
